We have received numerous reports of packet loss and we are investigating a possible DDOS attack.
Our network engineers are attending to the situation to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
UPDATES: 29/03/2021 12:57- The reason for the higher latency is a large-scale DDOS attack.
- The DDOS is mitigated for now and we are monitoring the situation closely.
- As part of the mitigation, we route traffic through a scrubbing center in London. This can lead to higher ICMP ping times than normal.

Root Cause Analysis: One of the storage switches became unresponsive. This has caused the storage network to become unresponsive. The issue seems a bug in the switch operating system.

Investigating - Network issues have been detected in the São Paulo location.
As a result, Kronos Cloud, Virtuozzo, and a part of Proto Compute services became unavailable.We are currently working with DC's remote hands to help us determine the root cause.
Suspected issue: hardware failure.Update - The network connectivity has been restored, however, as all of the infrastructures was down, we are still bringing the storage system back up in a proper order, which is not only the most critical operation at the moment, but also the most difficult one.
Update - We have brought back around 75%-80% of the storage system, after we finish that, we will start turning on the servers one by one.
Update - The storage system was brought back up, and we are starting to turn the servers back on one by one.
As stated in the previous update, clients should also note that some of the VMs will be made available before others and that while we are clearing the aftermath of the incident, the servers will perform at reduced performance.
Clearing the aftermath and getting back to normal performance might take around 24 hours.Monitoring - All Kronos Cloud and Virtuozzo servers were brought back up and we are starting to work on refilling the storage data, during which the clients might feel decreased VM performance. After that, we will monitor the situation for a few more days.
Update - We have received feedback that some of the additional IPs are not working for VMs - the issue was already fixed, however, you need to perform stop/start (note, not reboot, but stop and then start) of the server, and the additional IPs will become available again.
Resolved - After monitoring the situation for some time, we conclude that the incident is now closed. Postmortem will be provided in a short while.
